It’s almost hard to believe that this site has been up for two whole years! Continuing the trends from last year we’ve seen a steady growth in the number of people visiting the site. Over 47,000 people have viewed the site almost 100k times! Those numbers might not be special to someone who’s an uber-Facebook-social-butterfly, but they are certainly waaayy higher than I expected in just two years time! I just wanted to thank everyone who’s supported the site by either helping me out with information, testing newly implemented features, donated, or even just visited. I can’t properly express how much your viewership moves me. Here’s some analytics data!
So what’s next?
I thought that I’d be cool to give you an idea of the stuff that I’m working on! Not all of my ideas reach fruition, but there should be some really cool things potentially coming down the road that I can share now!
NEW ARTICLE! - A whole article focusing specifically on photodegredation (aka Sun Bleaching). I’ll spare you the details, but here’s a preview of the article thumbnail that I’ve made for it!
GUEST BLOGGERS! - I’m still working out the kinks, but would love to get other experienced collectors writing up some stuff here! Let me know if you’re interested!
UPDATES - This isn’t flashy, but I often go back into articles I’ve written to add more info, clarify details where needed, or just update it due to shifts in the hobby. I’ve got tons of tiny things to fix that you’ll probably never notice. Or will you?
The Animated Beginner’s Guide - This is a longer term project due to its scale, but I’ve begun initial pre-production on a fully animated video version of the beginner’s guide. While the article is wonderful, it’s very long (and still has room to grow), and I think I can reach a larger audience if I make a fancy animated video. Luckily, this is what I do for a living.
Other shorter videos - While Misprint Mailbrag was fun to make, they also ended up being on the longer side. I’d like to make higher quality content more frequently, which means a bunch of cool short videos about various parts of the hobby!
What would you like to see on the site? Let me know! Thanks again! You’re all awesome!
